Eighteen Participants Trained in Archery Through the Ministry of Education's Priority Areas Program

On January 11th and 12th, 2025, eighteen individuals had the opportunity to receive archery training as part of the Ministry of Education's Priority Areas Program, in partnership with ProArchers Guyana.

The training involved students from Good Hope Secondary, Richard Ishmael Secondary, The Bishops' High, Dolphin Secondary, Christ Church Secondary, St. Joseph's High and North Georgetown Secondary School.

These schools will now be offering archery as part of their sports curriculum.

Additionally, six more participants have expressed interest in expanding the program to other schools. As a result, six more schools will soon introduce archery to their students.

This initiative is part of an ongoing effort to provide diverse sports opportunities across the country.
