2nd TVET Visual Arts Exhibition: 'Breaking Boundaries

The Ministry of Education’s Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Unit is hosting the National Visual Arts Exhibition, now in its second year, under the theme “Breaking Boundaries.”
This theme highlights the unit’s commitment to pushing creative limits and expanding the scope of visual arts education across Guyana. the theme “Breaking Boundaries” captures the mission to inspire creativity and encourage artistic exploration among students.
Running from November 6 to November 16, 2024, at the Castellani House, the exhibition features diverse creative works, reflecting a dedication to comprehensive visual arts education. The display includes pieces from 2024 CSEC Visual Arts students who achieved Grade Ones, teachers who completed a one-year professional development program at the ER Burrowes School of Art in Leather Craft, Ceramics, and Textile Design, final-year and continuing students from the Cyril Potter College of Education, and students who participated in a two-week mentorship program at the University of Guyana’s Creative Arts Department.
Visitors can enjoy interactive workshops in Leather Craft, Tie-dyeing, Stenciling, Discharging, and Painting, providing an engaging experience for all.
