Earlier today, Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, was warmly embraced as a ‘Rakhi Sister’ by representatives of the Indian High Commission in Guyana and the Brahma Kumaris.

Traditionally, Rakhi celebrates the sacred bond between brothers and sisters - a bond of love, respect, protection and togetherness.

Today, that beautiful tradition extended beyond family, reminding us that sisterhood is also about the bonds we build, the love we share and the communities we bring together.
