Last evening, Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education joined Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, and Cabinet colleagues for the spectacular launch of Guyana’s Diamond Independence Jubilee.

This milestone officially begins our countdown to 26 May—a day that marks sixty years of Guyanese sovereignty.

As we look toward our 60th Independence Anniversary, we celebrate a historic period of nationwide observances, honouring our resilience, cultural richness, and the bright progress of our people.
