Celebrating a Historic Milestone in Indigenous Education!
Eighteen (18) dedicated teachers have proudly graduated from the University of Guyana’s Certificate in Dual Languages/Multilingual Practice in Education, marking a significant achievement for language preservation and inclusive education in Guyana.
This first-ever cohort consists of Wapichan teachers from the South Rupununi, who embraced and successfully completed this pioneering academic programme.
This pilot initiative was funded by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and coordinated by the Ministry of Education through the Office of the DCEO – AHED.
