The Chief Education Officer, Dr. Marcel Hutson held a Professional Development Session today with Nursery Headteachers within the Georgetown Education District.

The topic during today's session at the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) was, 'Transformational Leadership for Education Development'.

During Dr. Hutson's presentation he discussed the importance of positive outcomes from leadership. The CEO made the point that leaders are either the solution or the problem. He told the headteachers that as leaders, they need to build relationships and their team.

He added that trust must be built and maintained by team members as they work to achieve an agreed goal.
