CVQ Sensitization and Awareness Training – Region Two

Teachers from secondary schools across Region Two are participating in a CVQ Sensitization and Awareness Training at the Department of Education, aimed at strengthening the delivery and understanding of competency-based programmes that prepare learners for work, entrepreneurship, and further training.

This initiative aligns with the Government of Guyana’s continued commitment to strengthening TVET nationwide, with $2.5 billion allocated in Budget 2026 to expand TVET programmes.

The training is facilitated by the Officer responsible for Region Two, Ms. Persaud, and was supported by the Deputy Chief Education Officer (DCEO) - TVET, Dr. Ritesh Tularam, who shared key insights on the Ministry of Education’s strategic direction for TVET across Guyana.
