Department of Education Region 9 hold Regional Children's Mashramani Competition Road Parade

The town of Lethem came alive today when the Department of Education Region 9 held its Regional Children's Mashramani Competition Road Parade.

Students representing schools within Central Lethem and the RupununI showcased their costumes hoping to impress the judges and spectators while having fun.

The parade started at Takatu and moved to Barack Retreat then to Tabatinga Road into School Street and culminating at Wadapna Ground.

Today is the second day of competition as the Region hosted its Calypso, Dramatic Poetry, Dance and Costume and Physical Display competitions yesterday at the St. Ignatius Benab.
