Earlier today, I came across a post and now that i have time, I wish to add my views.

Several departments within the Ministry of Education hosted activities for our learners during the July/August period. The School Support Services Department, where I work, was one of them.

We organised July Camps in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, and 9. Education Officers do not go on a July/August break, we are in the regions, actively working with learners on various programmes.

Our parents are aware of this because their children are participating. Our Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand is aware because she was part of the planning. Our Department Supervisors, the CEO and the PS are aware because they approved the project proposals. So, the question is, who else should we be informing?

I am careful about posting pictures of our learners and teachers, as not everyone is comfortable with public attention. Today, I made an exception.

The Ministry of Education, under the leadership of our Honourable Minister, continues to work tirelessly to ensure equal access to educational opportunities in every region of Guyana.

Sadly, some individuals choose not to understand or acknowledge the work being done and instead, spread falsehoods.
