Earth Day 2026: Sonia Parag at Guyana-China Friendship Park

In observance of World Earth Day 2026, the Honourable Minister of Education, Sonia Parag attended the Earth Day Exhibition hosted by the Protected Areas Commission at the Guyana-China Friendship Park.

Hosted under the theme “Bridging People with Nature,” the exhibition brought together students from schools across the country for a day of learning, awareness, and environmental appreciation.

Delivering the feature address, Minister Parag encouraged students to play an active role in protecting the environment and building a more sustainable future for Guyana.

“By bridging people with nature, we are fostering a generation that understands the importance of conservation, climate awareness, and national responsibility.”
