EdYOU FM Spotlights Education Services in Region 3

In line with the Ministry of Education’s vision to provide every secondary school student with opportunities to excel beyond the classroom, nearly every secondary school on the Essequibo Coast will introduce archery as part of the Ministry’s Priority Programme.

This past weekend, nine individuals were trained and certified in archery. As a result, seven secondary schools on the Essequibo Coast will each receive an archery coach, with one coach being assigned to a school in Georgetown and another to a school in Region 4. The training was conducted by a team from ProArchers Guyana. The Ministry’s Priority Programme aims to expose each student to a TVET subject, modern languages, a musical instrument, a sport, and a strong sense of volunteerism before they graduate from secondary school.
