When the GOAL Scholarship Programme was launched in 2021 and outreaches began across Guyana, it became clear that many Guyanese wanted to pursue tertiary education but did not have the required qualifications for diploma and bachelor’s degree programmes.

This led to the creation of the GROW Programme, designed to provide a second chance and a pathway to higher education.

Since 2022, 4,281 persons have successfully completed the SCQF and Bachelor’s Foundation Programmes and have progressed into bachelor’s degree studies.

Many individuals who did not complete CSEC or did not achieve their desired grades now have the opportunity to upgrade their qualifications and access further studies through GOAL, CPCE, the University of Guyana, and other international institutions.

The programme reflects a commitment to second chances, lifelong learning, and empowering citizens to reach their full potential.
