Efforts to strengthen a coordinated national approach to drug prevention within schools are underway, following a meeting between Minister of Education Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Oneidge Walrond, and James Singh, Director of the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU).
This key collaboration underscores a firm commitment to safeguarding our learners by ensuring schools remain safe, supportive spaces.
By prioritizing prevention and early intervention, the Government continues to work across sectors to protect the nation’s children, empower them to make healthier and more productive decisions, and foster school environments that are more conducive to producing wholesome human beings.
Also present at the meeting was the Honourable Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning, Keoma Griffith.
