Grade 5 Teachers in Region Five Trained for New Curriculum

From August 17–20, 2026 grade 5 teachers from primary schools across Region Five participated in training sessions aimed at preparing them for the implementation of the new grade 5 curriculum.

From August 17–20, 2026 grade 5 teachers from primary schools across Region Five participated in training sessions aimed at preparing them for the implementation of the new grade 5 curriculum.

Facilitated by officers from the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), the four-days training incorporated interactive discussions, practical activities and collaborative learning.

Teachers were equipped with practical strategies to enhance their content knowledge, pedagogical skills and confidence in creating engaging and meaningful learning experiences for pupils.

NCERD continues to demonstrate its commitment to strengthening teacher capacity and supporting quality education and improved learning outcomes for every child.
