Today, innovation took centre stage at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall as students competed in the Fourth Annual Guyana–Monaco Mousetrap Car Grand Prix Competition 2026.
Coordinated by SBM Offshore Guyana, the competition challenged secondary school students to design and build race cars powered solely by the original mousetrap trigger mechanism.
Students competed in Acceleration, Advanced, and Innovation & Creativity categories, demonstrating technical skill, precision, and bold thinking.
The Ministry of Education was proud to collaborate in supporting this initiative, which continues to strengthen STEM engagement and provide opportunities for our young innovators to shine locally and internationally.
