The Ministry of Education is pleased to announce Guyana’s participation in the first Technical Meeting of the Global Partnership Forum on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) held in Mexico City, co-convened by UNESCO and UNFPA. Guyana was represented by Ms Jessica Anthony, National School Health Coordinator, reflecting our continued commitment to advancing health, wellness, and inclusive education across the country.
Guyana’s representation at this forum reinforces our commitment to strengthening evidence-based, age-appropriate CSE as part of our national approach to improving the health, safety, and overall well-being of young people. CSE is particularly important for Guyana as we continue to address adolescent pregnancy, reduce gender-based violence, and support our diverse student population with the knowledge and skills they need to make informed, responsible decisions.
The Ministry remains dedicated to ensuring that all learners are empowered, protected, and prepared to thrive.
