Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, today attended the "Mantle of Deborah" Builders' Summit hosted at the Marriott Hotel in Georgetown.

Delivering remarks, Minister Parag commended the global movement for its focus on women's empowerment and the practical impact it has made.

The "Mantle of Deborah" organization is an international faith-based movement focused on equipping and mentoring women for leadership and nation-building across all sectors.

The Builders' Summit Guyana, a key event of the movement, is designed to bring together influential women from the Caribbean and around the world to address social and economic challenges and foster greater female participation in leadership.

Minister Parag reiterated the government's continued investment in advancing opportunities for women and girls in Guyana to thrive and succeed in almost every sector and area of life.

Later gracing the forum was Prime Minister Brigadier (ret'd) Mark Phillips. The Minister of Labour and Manpower Planning, Keoma Griffith, was also in attendance.
