On Saturday, 5th September, 2020, the Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand along with the Hon. Minister of Local Government and Regional Development Nigel Dharamlall and the Hon. Minister of Housing and Water Collin Croal visited several communities along the Linden-Soesdyke Highway.

The purpose of the visits was to meet residents, get an understanding of what are their concerns and to share with them what are the government's plans to develop their communities and Guyana entirely.

Particularly, Minister Manickchand told the residents of the Ministry of Education's plan to bring to them individual packages with print material for each child in the villages.

Some of the communities visited were Adventure, Silver Hill, Kairuni, Banakari, Kuru Kuru, Yarrowkabra, Circuitville, Swaan and Waiakabra.
