Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand receives 10 electronic tablets donated by the New York City Corrections Desi Society.

The Honourable Minister of Education Priya Manickchand today received on behalf of the Ministry of Education, 10 electronic tablets donated by the New York City Corrections Desi Society. Handing over the tablets on behalf of the organisation was Mr. Mustafaa Azimullah.

Minister Manickchand expressed her gratitude to the organization for making this timely contribution to the education sector. She said that the 10 tablets will be given to hinterland students who wrote the National Grade Six Assessment this year.

The donation was made possible through a partnership between New York Diaspora, Mr. Fazal M. Yussuff, MPA/Advisor on Investment & Diaspora Affairs, Guyana Consulate New York and Sara Khalil of the World Care Organization who sponsored the items.
