Impromptu Checks Continue To Ensure Quality School Breakfasts
As part of ongoing oversight for the National Breakfast Programme, senior officers from the Ministry of Education continue to make impromptu visits to schools to taste, inspect, and monitor the meals provided to students.
Where issues are identified, they are promptly addressed and resolved, ensuring that all schools meet the programme’s required standards for nutrition, hygiene, and quality.
Today, Director of the School Boards Secretariat, Ms. Volika Jaikishun, conducted one such impromptu visit to St Stephen’s Primary School. The purpose of these visits is to verify that meals are prepared, stored, and distributed properly, and that students receive the nutritious breakfasts they need to start their day.
Our children deserve only the best, and it is the responsibility of everyone involved in the programme to ensure they receive it.
