As an added layer of scrutiny for the National Breakfast Programme, senior officers from the Ministry of Education will be making impromptu visits to various schools to taste-test and inspect the food and beverages being supplied to our children.

Any supplier whose meals are not up to standard will be dealt with strictly.

This morning, on his way to work, Dr. Ritesh Tularam, the Deputy Chief Education Officer (DCEO) for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), stopped by the Enterprise Primary School.

The supplier was serving cereal with chocolate milk, along with boiled and fried channa with apple juice.

Dr. Tularam's checks reported the following:

● FRESHNESS OF MEALS [✅]

● TASTE [✅]

● GOOD PORTIONS [✅]

● PROPER PACKAGING [✅]

Our children deserve only the best, and the responsibility is on all of us to ensure they get just that.

If you notice suppliers are not delivering as they should, be diligent and report it to us: 707-1199.
