Inaugural Education Awards 2026

As part of Education Month 2026, the Ministry of Education is pleased to host the Inaugural Education Awards, recognizing outstanding educators and schools across Guyana whose dedication, leadership and service continue to transform lives from the classroom to the community.

Educators across the system are invited to nominate a fellow educator for recognition in the following categories:

Male Educator of the Year – Nursery, Primary, Secondary, SEND and TVET

Female Educator of the Year – Nursery, Primary, Secondary, SEND and TVET

Education Officer of the Year

Outstanding Retired Educator

Rising Star Male Educator of the Year

Rising Star Female Educator of the Year

We encourage educators in Nursery, Primary, Secondary and TVET institutions, Departments of Education and the Central Ministry to nominate colleagues who exemplify excellence, professionalism, leadership and commitment to education.
