Leadership is a key component for successful education reforms.

Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education at Ministry of Education - Guyana highlighted this in a meeting with an IIEP delegation led by Director Martín Benavides at UNESCO.

Strengthened leadership at district and school levels across Guyana is critical for delivering the Ministry’s education priorities, including addressing social issues, tackling school violence, including bullying, and the use of social media.

Through the National Education Leadership Acceleration #NELA, ongoing training and professional development are helping build the capacity of education leaders across the country.
