Minister of Education Priya Manickchand yesterday hailed the preliminary results for the 2025 Carib-bean Advanced Proficiency Examination (CAPE)  and the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) which reflect improvements in English and Mathematics at CSEC though the pass rate for the latter remains low.

Chief Education Officer Saddam Hussain, speaking at the annual results presentation at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, praised education officers, examiners, and ministry staff for their role in supporting students nationwide. He also reminded stakeholders that these results remain preliminary and subject to review until September 5, 2025.

CAPE 2025 Results

A total of 650 candidates from 13 public secondary schools and three private centres sat the CAPE exams this year, down from 721 candidates in 2024. They submitted 3,632 subject entries across 33 subjects and 60 units.
