On Thursday, January 28, 2021, the Chief Education Officer, Dr. Marcel Hutson, met with teachers; Ms. Kathleen Reid, Mr. Rashlie Joseph, Ms. Esther Fernandes - Allen, Ms. Bonita Collins, Ms Clair Fredricks - Vickerie, Ms. Martina Byrne, Ms Eleth Stewart-Johnson and Ms. Dianne Henry. Present at the meeting also was Mr. Kerwin Jacobs, Technical Facilitator to the CEO.

The meeting was held primarily to discuss the vision of the Ministry of Education regarding the use of the smart rooms at the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) and at Queens’ College to facilitate online reinforcement English Language and Social Studies Lessons for learners in the hinterland and riverine communities.

Dr. Hutson expressed thanks on behalf of the Ministry of Education and encouraged the teachers to take up the challenge.
