Minister Manickchand Visits $864M Tuschen Secondary School Site!

Minister Manickchand conducts site visit at $864M Tuschen Secondary School

The Honourable Education Minister, Priya Manickchand, today conducted a site visit of the Tuschen Secondary School at Tuschen, East Bank Essequibo, Region 3. The Minister met with contractors at the site for an update on the completion of the school, which is slated for April of this year.

Expected to accommodate 800 students from the neighbouring villages in the East Bank Essequibo area, the school is being constructed at a cost of $864M and is set to have several allied buildings which will feature 24 classrooms, laboratories, TVET centre, canteen, multi-purpose hall and cafeteria, sanitary block, fire prevention mechanisms, and outdoor recreational facility.
