Moments ago, the Honourable Minister of Education, Priya Manickchand, met with 10-year-old Keziah Cottoy of Plaisance Primary School, a delegate in the Miss Guyana Princess Pageant, for a special interview.

The Miss Guyana Princess Pageant caters to girls aged 7 to 11 and serves as a platform to help them develop important life skills in areas such as talent, essay writing, and oral presentation. The pageant also promotes empowerment and encourages participants to learn more about their country’s culture and the communities they come from.

Each year, the delegates are required to write an essay on an iconic Guyanese woman. This year’s theme is “Women in Education.”
