Minister of Education Sonia Parag Joins Sharad Navratri Observances at Mortice Hindu Temple in Mahaicony
As our Hindu brothers and sisters continue to observe the auspicious season of Sharad Navratri, Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, joined members of the Mortice Hindu Temple, located along the Mahaicony Branch Road, for a beautiful service.

Minister Parag was particularly pleased with the notable presence and active participation of the children, emphasising that religious spaces play a vital role in inculcating positive values that strengthen our school systems and reduce instances of bullying and violence.
She was accompanied by former Region Five Chairman Vickchand Ramphal, Deputy Chief Education Officer with responsibility for TVET Dr Ritesh Tularam and several community leaders, including Inderjeet Persaud.
