Minister Parag Attends Celebration of China’s 77th Anniversary

Last evening, Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, joined Hon. Prime Minister Brigadier Mark Phillips and members of Cabinet for a celebration of the 77th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China.

The grand affair was hosted at the Guyana Marriott Hotel by Chinese Ambassador to Guyana, H.E. Yang Yang.

While the People’s Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949, Guyana and China established formal diplomatic relations on June 27, 1972.
