Minister Parag joins Region Three Breast Cancer Awareness walk

At sunrise this morning, Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, was in Region Three, joining residents, including youths and members of Recover Guyana, for a Breast Cancer Awareness walk, which commenced at the Leonora Market and culminated with a tree-decorating exercise along the 'Leonora concrete strip.'

Minister Parag emphasized the need for screening, as early detection can save lives. She encouraged those present to take full advantage of all the free and heavily subsidized opportunities for medical check-ups, including mammograms and screening for the Human Papilloma Virus, among others—all lifesaving interventions under President Irfaan Ali's leadership.

Minister Parag was joined by the newly appointed Vice Chairwoman of Region Three, Ms. Anjani Seebaran.
