On Thursday evening, the Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education joined thousands of Guyanese for the opening of the International Building Expo 2026, held under the theme, "Guyana at 60: Building Strong Foundations for a Sustainable Future."
Minister Parag interacted with hundreds of patrons while exploring the many exhibits on display, highlighting the Expo as a one-stop destination for everything from applying for house lots to completing a new home.
Minister Parag encourages the public to visit the Ministry of Education's booths, featuring the National Literacy Unit, the Guyana Digital School and the Guyana Online Academy of Learning.
The Expo continues until Sunday, June 28.
