“The degree is mine, but the journey belongs to many people.” Meet Valedictorian Naresh Jagnanan.
In Episode 5 of WHAT IT TOOK, Naresh reflects on leaving Guyana to pursue a Double Major in Economics and Political Science at UWI, while balancing academic demands with student leadership, service and life at Canada Hall.
Along the way, he learned that success was about more than what happened in the classroom; it was also about the people he met, the communities he served and the difference he could make for others.
Now, as he graduates with First Class Honours, Naresh is working at the Ministry of Finance in Guyana and preparing for his next chapter in graduate studies, with offers from the University of Oxford, the London School of Economics and Political Science, and Imperial College London.
