Ministry of Education Hosts Anti-Bullying Consultation in Yarrowkabra
The Ministry of Education recently conducted an Anti-Bullying consultation with residents and students of Yarrowkabra as part of its ongoing Anti-Bullying and Anti-Violence Campaign.
During the session, community members engaged in meaningful dialogue, outlining concerns regarding incidents of bullying within schools and offering practical recommendations for strengthening preventative measures and support systems. The consultation provided a collaborative platform for parents, teachers, and students to contribute directly to the development of national strategies aimed at creating safer learning environments.
The Ministry is currently facilitating a series of weekly Anti-Bullying consultations across the country to gather feedback and recommendations from stakeholders at the community level. These engagements form part of a broader national effort to address bullying comprehensively and ensure that schools remain safe, inclusive spaces for all learners.
Bullying remains a serious issue that, if unaddressed, can have lasting and harmful effects on students’ well-being and development. The Ministry encourages anyone experiencing bullying, or aware of incidents, to report the matter promptly.
