Ministry of Education Hosts Goalkeeping Workshop

The Ministry of Education, through the Unit of Allied Arts, continued its sports development drive by hosting a Goalkeeping Workshop at Queen's College and the YMCA ground on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Head of the Unit of Allied Arts, Mr. Fraser (ACEO-AA), underscored in his opening remarks the importance of continuously developing coaches and Physical Education teachers.

Facilitator of the programme, Mr. DeViera of the Unit of Allied Arts, highlighted that educating coaches in goalkeeping yields a twofold benefit: it provides coaches with technical drills to improve goalkeeping skills and increases the on-task activities for goalkeepers in training.

National Goalkeeper Akel Clarke served as a guest speaker, expressing his excitement for the initiative and emphasizing the profound, positive impact it will have on young goalkeepers.
