Ministry of Education Placement Examination Regulations and Application Form

The Placement Examination shall be written in Regions 3, 4, 5, 6, 10 and Georgetown.

A. DATE OF EXAMINATION

The Placement Examination will be written on ……September 23, 2020……

B.CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Remigrant students must present to the Regional Education Officer/Placement Officer travel documents and report card to verify their status.
2. Students from private schools who are desirous of being transferred to a public school must present to the Regional Education Officer/Placement Officer their report card and any other documents to verify their status.
3. Students from a public school who are desirous of being transferred to a public school of a higher grade must present to the Regional Education Officer/Placement Officer their report card and must have attained a score of 70% and above.
4. Students must complete one year in a class before seeking a higher level.
5. Students must not be older than 15 yrs 6 mths in December 201…

Point to Note:

1. Students from a public school who are desirous of being transferred to a public school of a higher grade will ONLY be allowed entry for this examination at the August sitting.

C.SUBJECTS TO BE ASSESSED

The examination will consist of two (2) subjects namely:

1. Mathematics
2. English Language
