#ThisIsUs | As our country utilizes face to face teaching predominantly, it was challenging to adjust to the online method at the beginning of the pandemic. Initially, it took my classmates and I weeks to adjust, but after a few weeks I found my footing and it started to get easier.

One important thing that happened during 2020, is that it connected us as people because we are not mentally distancing from humanity and that's one of the best silver linings. I have seen persons come together to make hampers, distribute sanitisers and detergents, pay bills for others and so much more. In this time, we need that unity more than ever.

Everything comes with its pros and cons, this pandemic is no different. I pray and hope that although we are going through one of the hardest phases, we still try to find the silver linings and remember that this too shall pass.

This is a series highlighting students and teachers across Guyana
