MOE Funds Extra Classes for 135, Only 35 Attend – Disappointing Turnout

The Ministry of Education is paying for extra classes for 135 students from 2 underperforming secondary schools in Georgetown…Imagine the disappointment when only 35 show up…. Sigh

Sometimes it’s not lack of opportunities that affect us, it’s our own indiscipline.

We must be better.

Background

Before the start of these classes the Minister of Education personally held meetings with the parents and students to inform them of the initiative. Transportation costs and hot meals are provided for each Sunday session.
