MOE hosts TVET Summer Camps in all districts for equal skills training

The Ministry of Education( MOE) in its quest to ensure that every single Student gets equal access to quality and relevance in TVET Training has consciously moved to strategically and purposefully organize Summer Camp for TVET in all education Districts. This initiative was committedly lead by the TVET Unit, MOE by the ACEO- TVET and Officers.

The initative intends to ensure that every child is gainfully and meaningful engaged in the acquistion of a skill during their vacation, while acquiring a life skill.

Notably, the responses regarding the TVET Summer Camp from our teachers and students are overwhelming, where students are genuinely asking for the camp to be extended for long duration, which the MOE will ensure happens.

Notably, all the required resources/ ingredients/ materials for the execution of the various skills based projects were solidly provided by the Ministry of Education to each school.

Students participated in the acquistion of skills in Furniture Making, Block Making, Data Operation, Commercial Food Preparation, Cake and Pastry Making, Agro processing( Making and packaging of pepper sauce, Jams, pickled Fruits/ fish products and Foods) to name a few.

This inittaive is in keeping with the MOEs/ GOG Strategic Vision for TVET; that is to ensure that every student have equal access to quality, relevance in the delivery of TVET, with the intention to make a tangible contribution to national development and be competitive in the emerging workforce.
