Education Officers from the Ministry of Education - Guyana's Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND) Unit and Literacy Department with their respective Assistant Chief Education Officers- Ms. Stembiso Grant (Literacy) & Dr. Keon Cheong (SEND), are currently in Jamaica as part of a collaborative initiative between the two countries' education ministries.

This initiative focuses on supporting learners with intellectual disabilities through the implementation of a specially designed curriculum. The visit provides Guyanese officers with the opportunity to observe the curriculum in practice, engage with their Jamaican counterparts, and gain valuable insights into its effectiveness and impact in real-world classroom settings.
