Ministry of Education Receives Donation of Premium Safety Boots from VHS Guyana

Yesterday, the Ministry of Education received a generous donation from VHS Guyana, a leading supplier of high-quality safety gear and PPE for the oil and gas sector. The company presented the Ministry with 251 pairs of premium Red Wing safety boots, a timely contribution that directly supports ongoing efforts to strengthen safety standards across technical and vocational institutions.

This initiative reinforces the Ministry’s commitment to promoting a strong occupational safety culture, especially within engineering-focused secondary institutions. It also aligns with our mandate to ensure quality, relevance, and equity in the delivery of technical education.

Chief Education Officer, Mr. Saddam Hussain received the donation on behalf of the Ministry along with Deputy Chief Education Officer- Technical, Dr Ritesh Tularam. Representing VHS Guyana at the handover was the company’s General Manager.

The Ministry of Education extends its sincere appreciation to VHS Guyana for this valuable and meaningful contribution, which not only enhances student safety but also strengthens the foundation of technical and vocational education across Guyana.
