MOH warns public of fake “Guyana HIV Victim” social media page

The Ministry of Health is warning the public about a fake social media page called “Guyana HIV Victim”, which is unlawfully using the Ministry’s logo and falsely claiming affiliation.

The ministry says the page also falsely claims to have access to private medical information, stressing that it has not shared any patient data.

Members of the public are being urged not to provide personal information to the account and to report and disregard the page.

The ministry is reminding persons to rely only on its official communication channels and website for accurate information.
