More than 30 Grade Six teachers from Region One participated in highly interactive training sessions aimed at strengthening their own and their students' preparation for the upcoming NGSA.

More than 30 Grade Six teachers from Region One participated in highly interactive training sessions aimed at strengthening their own and their students' preparation for the upcoming NGSA.

The sessions focused on the four core subject areas - Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English Language - placing particular emphasis on analyzing mock examination results to better address learning gaps.

The team also engaged more than 30 pupils in the Mabaruma sub-district, leading targeted revision activities to reinforce key concepts and offering guidance on effective examination techniques.

The sessions were facilitated by our committed team from the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), alongside Mr. Marti De Souza, Deputy Chief Education Officer with responsibility for Amerindian and Hinterland Education Development (AHED).

This initiative reflected the Ministry’s continued commitment to providing targeted academic support to educators across the country.
