Minister of Education Sonia Parag has confirmed that the National Secondary Schools Track and Field Championships will take place from March 3–5 at the Bayroc National Stadium in Linden.
The announcement was made on Wednesday during an official ceremony where Guyana signed the agreement to host the 2027 CARIFTA Games over Easter weekend 2027.
Minister Parag emphasized that the upcoming national athletics championships will serve as a direct feeder tournament to select and develop local athletes for the CARIFTA stage.
The hosting location at the Bayroc National Stadium re-confirms Minister Parag's prior announcement.
