NCERD Congratulates 242 Senior Educators on Successful Completion of Education Management Certificate Course
The National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD), under the Ministry of Education, proudly congratulates 242 senior educators from the eleven educational districts across Guyana who successfully completed the Education Management Certificate Course (Batch 12: 2023–2024).
This program, which aims to enhance educational leadership and management skills, yielded outstanding results, with 5% of participants achieving distinctions, 31% attaining credits, and 64% earning a pass overall.
Among the outstanding performers, the Top Five National achievers were Fareza Narine of Tagore Memorial Secondary, Region 6, who excelled with 93%; Toni Mariah Frances of One Mile Primary, Region 10, who secured 92.4%; Latchme Sharma from the Department of Education in Region 5, who achieved 90.8%; Razika Motin of Crabwood Creek Primary, Region 6, with 88.9%; and Dayanand Lallbachan of the TVET Unit, Region 4, who scored 87.5%.
At the regional level, educators also demonstrated remarkable performances. In Region 1, Orlando Domingo from the Department of Education, Moruca, emerged as the top performer, followed by Donna Gordon-Ramsammy of Wauna Primary and Joy Pereira-Frank of White Water Primary.
Region 2’s top performer was Parmanand Singh from the Department of Education, with Vanessa Chhangur-Doobay of Zeeburg Secondary and Navita Singh from Cyril Potter College of Education following in second and third place respectively.
Region 3 was led by Yogita Singh-Mangra from the Department of Education in Georgetown, with Shavia Tellman of Westminster Primary and Solochnie Persaud of Goed Fortuin Nursery taking second and third positions.
In Region 4, Dayanand Lallbachan of the TVET Unit, Georgetown, emerged as the top performer, with Hansrajie Ramoo of Good Hope Secondary and Halcyone Onika Williams of Nabacalis Nursery securing the second and third positions.
Region 5’s top performer was Latchme Sharma of the Department of Education, followed by Camilea Cindy Shepherd of No. 8 Nursery and Chandika Ross of Fort Wellington Secondary. Region 6 was dominated by Fareza Narine of Tagore Memorial Secondary, with Razika Motin of Crabwood Creek Primary and Deochand Jaiprashad of Tain Primary rounding off the top three positions.
In Region 7, Nikita Natasha La Rose of Little Achievers Nursery claimed the top spot, with Tricia Seanna Williams of Hill View Nursery and Tracey Sophia Benjamin of Beach View Nursery coming in second and third.
Region 8 saw Shevon Romonia Rambarrat of Micobe Primary leading, followed by Tamika Vanetta Johnson of the NCERD English Unit and Delon Adrian Harry of Mahdia Secondary.
Region 9’s top achiever was Curtis Bristol from the Department of Education, Lethem, with Francine Gomes and Anureiya Leonce following in second and third places.
Region 10 was led by Toni Mariah Frances of One Mile Primary, with Charlene Eulyne De-Jonge-Hinds of Yarrowkabra Secondary and Melinda Saskia Adolph of Pine Street Nursery coming in second and third.
In Georgetown, Donella E. Britton-Elizabeth of the National Literacy Unit emerged as the top performer, followed by Kevin Singh of Annandale Secondary and Kathleen Parasnath of Covent Garden Primary.
NCERD and the Education Management Committee extend their heartfelt congratulations to all participants of the Batch 12 cohort for their dedication and achievements in advancing educational leadership in Guyana.
Their success reflects a commitment to excellence that will undoubtedly benefit schools and communities across the country.
