The National for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) Early Childhood Unit recently conducted a successful parental sensitization session with active participation from 46 parents in Wakenaam, Region 3. The session focused on raising awareness about the importance of early childhood development, the role of play-based learning, a clear overview of the Nursery timetable, and the support that parents can provide at home to reinforce what children learn in nursery settings.
Following the session, four nursery kits were distributed to two nursery schools, namely Sans Souci and Maria's Plesure. Each kit contains age-appropriate learning materials designed to support children’s cognitive, physical, and social development. The teachers expressed gratitude for the kits, acknowledging that the materials would be beneficial in supporting the children's learning..
