The Early Childhood Unit of the National Centre for Educational Resource Development (NCERD) conducted a two-day parental sensitization session and professional development training in Orealla and Siparuta, Region 6, on July 15th and 16th, with seventy (70) parents and thirteen (13) educators.
The parental sensitization focused on transition, emergent literacy and numeracy, and the professional development training focused on classroom management and positive discipline, as well as enhancing children's interest in storytelling.
Participants actively participated in these training sessions, which were facilitated by Ms. Sandiya Samaroo and Ms. Narinedai Singh.
