Teach Secondary Training of Observers at NCERD: Enhancing Educational Practices
The National Centre for Educational Research and Development (NCERD) today hosted the Teach Secondary Training of Observers, an initiative aimed at improving teaching practices across schools. This training centers on an observation tool developed by the World Bank, designed to facilitate the systematic evaluation of educators.
This training session marks a significant step in a pilot project that seeks to implement this new observational tool nationally. With the Ministry of Education's commitment to monitoring teaching effectiveness, the tool is expected to provide invaluable insights into classroom practices and teacher performance.
During this session, both teachers and education officers were equipped with the necessary skills to utilize the observation tool effectively. As part of this ongoing initiative, this training represents the second cohort of observers, following a successful first group that laid the groundwork for the project.
The program is coordinated by Rovin Sukhraj, while training coordination is led by Petal Kadir. Their leadership ensures that participants receive comprehensive training that will empower them to observe, evaluate, and ultimately enhance teaching practices in schools.
As the Ministry of Education moves forward with this innovative approach, the expectation is that the insights gained from these observations will contribute significantly to the overall improvement of the educational landscape.
Through the careful monitoring of teaching practices, the initiative aims to foster a more effective learning environment for students nationwide.
