PADF hands over recent children's publication to Education Ministry
Today, the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) handed over copies of its most recent children's publication, "Un Cuento De Esperanza" to the Ministry of Education.

Today, the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) handed over copies of its most recent children's publication, "Un Cuento De Esperanza" to the Ministry of Education.
The PADF was represented by Project Director, Mr. Jermaine Grant and Ms. Leiann Van Lange, Program Officer.
Advisor to the Honourable Minister of Education, Ms. Africo Selman expressed profound gratitude on behalf of the Government of Guyana and the Ministry of Education towards the PADF.
She said that the PADF must be commended for supporting the integration of migrant children into the formal school system in Guyana.
Ms. Selman said that the Ministry of Education is currently working on a Migrant Education Support Unit to ensure migrant children and their parents get the necessary support.
Chief Education Officer, Dr. Marcel Hutson also thanked the PADF for its gesture and assured that the resources will reach the desired teachers and students so that they can be empowered.
He said that the publication aligns with the pillars of the Ministry of Education such as equity and quality in the delivery of education.
Mr. Grant said that the program of the Ministry of Education to integrate migrant children speaks to the recognition of the needs and vulnerabilities of those children, particularly the Venezuelan migrants.
He said that the books donated today will help to build the capapcity of some of the teachers in the system that will play a part to integrate migrants into the education system and by extension the Guyanese society.
