Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education and Geographical Member of Parliament for Region Five, joined Hon. Zulfikar Ally, Minister of Public Service, Government Efficiency, and Implementation, to commission a new Services Centre in Fort Wellington.

This facility decentralizes the Guyana Register Office, immigration, and digital ID services, sparing thousands of residents from making multiple, costly trips to Georgetown.

With a committed three-day turnaround for transactions, the centre directly addresses long-standing complaints regarding service accessibility in the region.

Minister Parag expressed her elation at the opening, noting it as a major step toward providing more convenient and efficient government services for the people of Region Five.
