Parag Attends Orange Economy Consultation

Hon. Sonia Parag, Minister of Education, yesterday attended the inaugural Orange Economy Stakeholders Consultation, held under the theme “Orange Economy: Unlocking Guyana’s Cultural & Creative Industries Potential.”

Hosted at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre, the consultation brought together creatives, industry leaders and key stakeholders to examine opportunities for strengthening Guyana’s cultural and creative sectors as engines of economic growth, investment and sustainable development.

The event featured presentations and discussions across a range of industries, including film and audiovisual, gastronomy, music, performing arts, fashion, cultural tourism and festivals, literary arts and visual arts, with stakeholders sharing insights on challenges, opportunities and strategies to enhance the sector’s global competitiveness.
